Sophie is the sofa we always come back to.
She's big. Family-big. The kind you can flop onto after a long day and not want to get up. That's kind of the point.
Here's what makes her different. First, the seats are proper deep - 85 cm. Not the shallow "for show" kind. You can actually curl up here. The cushions are stuffed with real feathers, so they sink around you instead of pushing back. Foam cushions feel fine when you're standing next to them in a shop, but feathers are what you want when you've spent the whole day at the sofa.

Fair warning though - feather cushions need a fluff up now and then. Every couple of days, five seconds. That's the small trade for that hotel-comfort feel.

Under all that softness there's a solid hardwood frame. Not particleboard, not plywood. Real wood, joined by hand. This is what keeps a sofa from creaking or sagging after a few years. You won't see it. But you'll feel it in year five when Sophie still sits like new.

The upholstery is Belgian linen. Heavier weave, holds up better to real life than the thin stuff. The beige is warm enough to work with wood tones and cool enough to work with grey. Basically it fits with whatever else you've already got going on.
