Joanna Teak Wood Stool

Joanna is a small handmade stool combining solid teak wood with a handwoven seagrass seat. Versatile and lightweight - the kind of piece you can use for one purpose today and something else tomorrow.

About the size and use.

45 cm tall, 35 x 35 cm base. Small enough to tuck under a console table or beside a bed, useful enough to earn its space. Works as a foot stool, a side table for a coffee cup, a display stand for a small plant, or as extra seating when needed. Transitions easily from outdoor to indoor use.

About the material.

The frame is solid teak wood - the same wood that ends up on luxury yacht decks. Teak has natural oils that keep it going through UV and humidity without splitting or warping. The seat is durable handwoven seagrass, adding organic texture and boho character.

Every piece is handmade, so small variations in the weave and the wood grain are natural.

Where it works.

Living rooms as a footrest or side table. Bedrooms for a plant or lamp. Bathrooms as a spot for towels. Balconies as extra seating. Also available as a Bar Stool if you need a taller version.

Fair note on teak.

Teak develops a silvery-grey patina over time if used outdoors regularly. If you want to keep the warm honey colour, apply teak oil twice a year. If you like the natural weathered look, do nothing - the wood underneath stays strong either way.

Handle with care. Clean using a soft damp cloth. Avoid soaking the seagrass seat.
